JD:
Ideal:
Knowledge of Railroad train control systems (e.g., dispatching, route optimization or "meet / pass planning", positive Train Control, CBTC, ATC, ERTMS)
Qualified applicants will have 5-8 years of successful experience in a directly related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented below
- BS in Engineering or Computer Science - Electrical Engineering preferred
- Advanced Degree preferred, Masters, PhD, or MBA
- Technical knowledge of operations concepts in rail industry, rail products, dispatch systems and other Backoffice rail systems
- Strong experience in systems design of PTC products for North American Class-1 Freight Railroads
- Competency with requirements management tools, preferably Polarion or DOORS
- Knowledgeable in standards, process, and methods for Requirements Engineering
- Experience with safety and security critical systems
- Develops the detailed, specific, technical requirements for a large-scale complex Dispatch system.
- Manages technical requirements in a requirements management tool (Polarion) and ensure the requirements are properly traced to various technical artifacts (e.g., design, test, RAMS).
- Supports the UX experts in the user interface design process and documentation.
